Does military intervention work? What is the role of non-military and multi-national groups in regime change and peace-keeping efforts?

At a panel hosted by the CUNY Graduate Center, three distinguished participants discuss their perspectives on peace keeping and regime change. Featuring Alex de Waal, program director of the Social Science Research Council, General Barry McCaffrey, four-star general of the United States Army (retired), and Thomas Ricks, The Washington Post's Special Military Correspondent.

Thomas Weiss, Presidential Professor of Political Science at The Graduate Center moderates.

    Speaking of Rumsfeld being a died-in-the-wool corporate fascist cocksucker, check out a few things for yourself:

    1. Rumsfeld the Rolladex man gets Aspartame approved, linked directly to pancreas cancer, autism, neurological diseases like multiple sclerosis, etc.;

    2. Rumsfeld helps Hussein procure biochem weapons components and cultures for use against Iran;

    3. Rumsfeld warps and fabricates intelligence to dupe Ford toward domino theory;

    4. Rumsfeld joint nuclear operations.

    "Donald Rumsfeld is a patriotic, brilliant, charismatic, energetic, older, wealthy experienced guy"

    Wow, what an accurate assessment. Mine is slightly more accurate, I believe...

    "Corporatist, lunatic, pathologically deceitful, moronic, hypocritical, demented scumfuck psychologically enslaved to an ill-conceived 'war doctrine' cooked up by himself and the other Team-B fascist fucks during the so-called 'Cold War' which was derived directly from Goebbels, Goering and Hitler."

  • Gee, only 8:13 of introduction. Stroke enough egos there?

    Anyone reading this, for an real discussion on Iraq, look up Dr. Dahlia Wasfi, Dennis Halliday, Douglas Rokke, Scott Ritter, and many others.

    None of these d-bags is worth listening to. They're all just self-congratulating egoists pandering to the audience, with nothing independently investigated for themselves.

    I guess this video is a good refresher course for some of the main politically correct talking points about this illegal war.

  • As soon as the General mentioned a link between Saddam and WOMD I stopped the video and wondered why the human race needs people like this who are obviously trained to think in the narrow mould of Westpoint and in line with a nationalistic jingo oriented schooling. And I concluded the human race needs to shut down the infrastructure that breeds this type of cretin, which would mean the deconstruction of America as a super state hey ho, and the criminalisation of weapons manufacturers it fosters
