This is just a quick something i've been working on. Trying to recreate most of the effects from Star Trek TNG-Voyager... this one is of the Enterprise D swooping round and jumping to warp.

Made in Studio Max 2009

  • did you use an FxFxD box the create the warp

  • Nice work.

  • Where did you get that version of Magic Carpet Ride. I know its from the movie

Star Trek VIII: First Contact. Its not featured in any of the movie score The original album release is featured in the score.

So... Where did you get ???

Can you send me a copy of the full length version of that song ???

  • Some parts still look a bit artificial. For example the nacelle warp glow is too opaque and looks like a big expanding polygon.

Better would be a volume light so it has a nice transparency and also gives the rest of the ship an additional light effect.

Also a more blue color would be good instead of the current white glow.

The standard lighting on the back of the ship should be also more blue instead of the current turquoise color.

Another improvement would be a tad stronger bumpmap.

  • Sweet Galaxy model, its from DJ Curtis I presume?

  • wow... did you make that mesh?

  • Can you send me that Enterprise D?

  • Pretty excellent job. Smoothly done.

  • Great, but one thing, i think i whould have looked better if the enterprise was a bit farther at the start and then at the middle point of the turn just in front of the camera and again just before the jump a bit farther away at the right, it whould have given the illusion of speed, but i have to say that how it is as it is is very impressive and great looking clip... 5/5

  • it's realy great.

perhaps you should try to pull the gondolas just a bit longer.

btw, do you want to create a movie ?^^
