I love the sound effects in this game. It's so ridiculous.

@EWAShock Yup yup, Thank god for the SNES and Genesis versions. At least the controls were more loose, the old NES was so stiff it was almost unplayable.
-
they did an absolutely astounding job for its time.

@JiflixIsGay Yea, it looks really funny to hit the curb after doing pretty well lol. Really out of place...then again, so is everything else in this game it seems like.

The NES...gaming at its finest. Especially with Mega Man.
The NES version is totally ass. I forget sometimes just how horrible the arcade ports of games were for NES, this TMNT and Rampage are all equally disastrous. I grew up through the 80s and always was disappointed with NES ports of games but now in my late 20s when I revisit them, it's somehow so much worse.

Yea, i know what you mean about being disappointed with arcade ports. I'm not as old as you but i remember fighting game ports to home consoles usually weren't that great. But it's the NES, you can't really expect a perfect transition. However, Ninja Gaiden is an example of a port that's actually superior to the arcade version.

You carefully worded your description to attract people who search for stuff like "perfect tool assisted speed run"

if i did it was by accident. i just wanted to address the TAS issue in the description that's all. the run itself is obviously not very perfect.
the tags are: paperboy speed run
no other claims otherwise
