functioning lego turntable (beatles -- revolution)

i realise it looks silly and sounds terrible, but come on. it's legos.

this was the result of about three days work... most of which was spent redesigning things. getting the right speed was difficult, as was eliminating as much wow and flutter as i could. obviously it leaves a lot to be desired, but hey, it's made of plastic bricks.

the only non-lego components are: cartridge, two alligator-clip wires, about 2"x1" of cellophane (insulation), and 1" of double-stick tape

Also, this sounds better than most Lego turntables I've seen. At least this one is at a constant pitch, more or less.
