  • That Feel Good Inc. cover should crawl in a hole and die. :S

    Oh, it's Spanish. But still.

  • WTF?????????????

  • Fail... im done talking

  • Guitar Hero started nothing.

Although I have nothing but utmost respect for its' creators, several of which include important members of Irrational Games and LGS, including Eric and Terri Brosius, and Greg LoPiccolo, also previously members of the alt-rock/indie band Tribe.

But despite my incredible and undying respect and devotion towards these people, Guitar Hero is nothing new, merely fresh paint on an old car.

    It's all been done.

  • This game has the potential to be very good.

It may not be perfect, but it doesn't look like a bad game, no, not at all.

Who the heck knows, it might even be fun.

There's no way to judge this game until it hits store shelves.

Maybe someone out there who isn't so insecure about their own masculinity might step up and let everyone know that the game ain't half bad.

Roughly 30 songs with 5 different covers of each song sounds interesting.

And really, Tenacious D in Spanish sounds kicking.

  • Planet moon studios PLEASEEEE make a Giants2, not this shitty game...

  • The point I'm trying to make here is that I don't think it's fair to call foul on one specific game when the same bashing logic can be turned against Guitar Hero just as easily. At least Battle of the Bands is trying to bring a unique twist to the music game genre by adding genre swapping, AND a system that specifically focuses on battling. Whether you're using a wii-mote, dance pad, guitar controller, etc. the majority of music games out there all have the same premise.

  • Actually..have you ever heard of a game called Guitar Freaks? It's a guitar simulation series created by Konami that dates back to 1998. Guitar Freaks and Guitar Hero play almost identical. Battle of the Bands uses the Wii mote, not a directional pad. There are 30 songs in the game each with 5 covers (Rock, Rap, Marching Band, Ranchero, and Country). When two different bands battle each other, the music swaps back and forth between their styles. Like in this video..it's Ranchero Vs. Rap.

  • And what's up with the beaner song?

  • Guitar Hero started a new type of game. Then Neversoft took over Guitar Hero and the makers of Guitar Hero started to make Rock Band. Therefore, it's not really different. It's made by the same people and there aren't many games where you control a guitar for a controller. It's not new, have you ever played the game Boom Boom Rocket? It's a game on Xbox Arcade game. Exactly like this and instead of the directional pad, it's the A, X, B, Y buttons. Therefore, it's not that new.
