The skipper obviously knew what was required, and absorbed the crew's input. Me? If the vessel in question was carrying illegal weaponary/ordnance, drugs etc, she would have been torpedoed !

Why does everyone arfue on here hell ive trained with the STG and also help train the CTTAH which work closely with the STG if it ever got the the stage where the govt calls in the CTTAG or NZSAS then we are truly in the shit

As with any training you do a few dry runs first rather than charge in and cock it up. Obviously you don't have that luxury in the real thing so practice practice practice.....

You have had zero experience with STG, as you are Artillery, and in New Zealand that means teeny tiny 105mm's and a non operational air defense system, so nothing amazing at all really.. you dropshort

The AOS for the record has nothing to do with this training. The boat is ex America's Cup, so yes they've had it for a while. I'm sure they would like a limitless budget to upgrade it.
