  • Its all about counterpoint and syncopation...an integral part of the 'Soca' art form in Trinidad & Tobago.

  • So funky the open hit hat...So groovy !!! insane !!!

Good luck for the feeling .... Enjoy !!!

How techincly you are, bonne chance pour le groove !!!

  • a good drummer ALWAYS makes it look effortless!!!

  • Thanks for sharing...I've been looking for instruction like this from the master for a while now. Only wish the toms weren't obstructing the view of the snare. However it is definitely great to be able to hear him go through various basic afrobeat grooves like this. Having a continuously opening/closing hi-hat gives so much opportunity for variety in the groove...such a simple thing but truly brilliant.

  • thanks, very instructive !

  • That's the Groove of Life !

    A Master's Work.

Thanks to You Forever, Tony !
