First off: don't operate any kind of tool that you don't both understand how to safely use and feel comfortable with.
Oh and please no complaining about the loose chain in most of these shots, I know it should be tighter than that and it was at the beginning of the day; but it's a new chain and it was towards the end of the day when most of these shots were taken.
This is a cute little 16 inch chainsaw, good enough for just cutting trees and branches around my house. Figured it would look cool on the high speed, and ended up with enough footage to make a video in line with my "Demonstration" series.
Actually got the chainsaw out because I have been using Josh Woodward's amazing music (seriously, check his stuff out) for my recent videos, and one of his songs (the one in this video :P) is titled "Chainsaw". I liked it so much that it inspired me to make a video to go along with it and get some slow motion footage of something different at the same time.
I'm pretty happy with it, but I got so much footage that it became a headache trying to fit it into one video, so watch for one or two more videos using the chainsaw footage I captured today in the near future!
Stay tuned for more and as always, thanks for watching!

There is not information about how to operate the chain saw - How do you start it?
Stupid

@MexiMan5 This was not intended as an instructional video, check the side labels if it is a newer model (last 15 years or so) and there should be detailed instructions on how to operate your particular model saw. Otherwise, consult the instruction manual. There are a few steps I didn't show here such as setting the choke and priming that are vital to a proper start, be sure you're following the instructions carefully.

cool vid, just one thing. you do know you are supposed to set the chain brake (emergency brake) BEFORE you start the saw in the air. if you dont there is a possibility that you can hit the trigger, the chain start up, and it buck back and hit you. that would be NASTY especially with a new chain on as you stated.

@silentknight2112 Thinking about it now, that makes a lot of sense. That was the only time I ever started it in the air, and did it just because I thought it would look neat on camera. Thank you very much for the advice, that piece of information could very well save my butt in the future.
