@Godzilla2000X She was great live! I saw her perform three times in concert and nightclubs. I loved Phyllis' performances. Imagine what she did in this vid, but you're right up next to it in a nightclub. I don't know the words that can begin to describe it, and that's why I cried when I first saw this vid; it brought back all those memories of her, and I miss her terribly.

Saw Phyllis Hyman many times live , Had a personal encounter with her at the Blue Note in NYC.Was sitting at table in front of stage ,when she stopped in the middle of a song and ate food off my table..Her response was" LOOKS GOOD ,MAY I"My response was" it's your show help yourself" After tasting some finger food she Invited myself and my date up to her dressing room after the show. I had champaine ,Chated and took pictures with Phyllis

I have been a "Phyllis fan" since the 70's! I bought her album. None of my friends caught the "Phyllis fever", but I SAW her GREATNESS - even back then!! R.i.p. Phyllis Hyman!! May God Bless your Soul!
