I got the problem in the cs5 version you have select for the text properties *(Anti-alias for animation)*

@lnllaurito Then create an AS2 document instead. This tutorial was created before AS3 even existed.

Can anybody help? I've did the mask but my text won't show up, I'm using cs5.

@BlackBannerArmy The mask and masked layers need to be locked for the effect to be visible on the stage.

i tried it on flash cs4 and i had great difficulty...i couldn't do it.
