Stefan and I continue down the Blue Ridge Parkway through heavy rain, making it to Cherokee, and then carrying on to Robbinsville. We saw many a gorgeous view, despite the rain, and I got some good footage of some TUNNELS!
Next up: Deals Gap and the Tail of the Dragon!

  • Hi ricksroadking and everybody else,

I have found my connecting dates for this site a few days ago and so it is possible for me, to write here again some lines. I have googeled about Monschau and of course I didn't know about that town near our boarder. I am really interested to see your video about that trip. Greetings Stefan

  • Guten Tag, Mein Zwilling Bruder! I hope you like the music on the next two videos! ;-D

  • Hey Mike and Stefan,

I can keep repeating all my words,I like it a lot !

Why don't you film a tunnel or bridge?

Just kidding,it's " een te gekke rit!"

    Waiting fot the next episode,

    Greatings Rick

I went to Belgium,Luxemburg and back true Germany (Monschau Stefan),nice trip also (800 km's)

The small film off the pics is coming soon.

  • Thanks, Rick! Can't wait to see your video!

  • Your videos have a real endearing quality and this is the best one yet! Looking forward to Tail Of The Dragon.

  • Thanks! I think I had reached a comfort zone in front of the camera by this point, or at least, I was so loopy, I stopped worrying.

  • Ah, that explains the maniacal laugh/look coming out of the tunnel and the 'burning it' story. I was wondering, what could you possibly do for an encore after this...hmmm...Route 66?

  • Indeed! I thought the rain would ruin things, but to the contrary, it made for a far more interesting and varied experience!

  • I can take no credit for the HQ footage. That was Stefan's camera. I've clearly got to upgrade at some point, finances willing. As for hobo-ing around in the rain, you betcha! I gained so much confidence in my riding abilities as a result of this trip! Rain no longer scares me as it used to!

  • Wow! I had HQ and full-screen on and 4:30 jumped out at me like it was a live shot from a CCTV camera. I actually felt like I was looking down into a valley. It looks like you were really getting into being a Hobo and ridin the roads

Looking forward to the next video and the DG twisties

  • LMAO! :-D
