http://diatomaceousearth.net - DE is an abbreviation of the words "Diatomaceous Earth," which is a fossilized deposit of microscopic shells created by one celled plants called Diatoms. Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth can be used for many things around the home and in agriculture. Food Codex Grade Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is an anti-caking agent that can be added to the dry weight of animal feed. There are many that claim that DE will aide in the removal of parasites and worms that are otherwise difficult and expensive to remove by using other types of medications. While this is a popular use among livestock, many people do not realize that it can also be used for their household pets! More and more people are mixing in a small amount of DE into their pet's food with the intent to help with proper digestion. Do your pets have problems with fleas and ticks? @frank44145 lol your going to listen to the FDA haha look at what the "FDA" see what your actually eating with chemicals and gross ass meat that's actually green? that the FDA says is "Safe". anyways D.E. is "food" grade No chemicals and is safe for humans and any animal.....use it for a colon cleanser, dewormer, for parasites for both internal and external, on carpet any bug will die except an earth worm, on animal for flea power.....just use it it's safe but there are cautions breathing it

I see some youtube users here mix DE with water or orange juice and drink it. The FDA said food grade for farm animals, not humans. How safe is DE for sick/healthy humans to ingest?

@frank44145 Taking DE is one of those things you would just have to try for yourself. We always recommend you consult your physician for how much you can take. This substance is not toxic so it should not make you sick as long as you take it responsibly.
