Thanks again for your kind words. I really enjoyed performing in this band and we were really "Hittin' The Note". It's hard to capture the sound of a band you're paying tribute to, especially the ABB, but I think we came closer then most other tributes.

Hi Charlesh3. This is actually Brian, the guy who played the part of Duane. Hooheadjohn is my screenname. Anyway, I do know the Brian Butler you are referring to and, no, he's not the one in this tribute. I had a little dispute with him because we share the same name and we were both playing blues around Seattle so I changed my band name since the other Brian had been around Seattle longer. He plays strictly blues and I play more of a mix of blues, rock, jamband style. I formed One Way Out in 08

Hi charlesh3, unfortunately we are not performing our Allman Brothers tribute anymore but a couple of members are now in a band called Southbound in the Seattle area. They cover some Allman Brothers music as well as other great artists from the South. Another member is in a great band called the Road Dogz. One Way Out stopped performing after one of the guitarists (role of Duane Allman)had to move to SoCal due to a family crisis back home and the band could not find a suitable replacement.

... Great version, I have been an ABB fan since 1965 when I saw them in Daytona Beach and they were the Escorts, Duane is/was a few months older than me and Greg is a few months younger ... I saw them many, many times at the Briar Patch nightclub in Nashville where I live, they were the Allman Joys then ... they have always been a part of my life and I have seen them so many times , I would have no idea how many ... BUT this is a wonderful piece of music and very well done... THANKS .

Hi John - too bad you guys aren't playing any more. I don't usually like tribute bands (especially for Duane) but this was awesome and I wish there was more. Above it says Brian Butler is Duane but it seems this is not the same Brian Butler that has been playing blues guitar in Seattle for many years, right?

Afegus9 has me beat - I first heard the Allmans playing in Atlanta's Piedmont Park in 69 or 70 - who can remember?
