  • @MrTiagobolo you are probably one of those guys who wrongly think that just Brazilian musicians have swing. Actually that´s more a self-esteem problem than a actual musical point of view. Herbie is one of the greatest musicians of all time and I´m not talking about jazz only, since music is an universal matter. As a Brazilian and a piano player, all I have to say is this: Herbie, you´re always welcome to play Brazilian music!!!

  • She says:

"Ah, It would be better If I could manage to live in peace, without having to suffer, to cry, to want, to give yourself. But we have to suffer, to cry and to want, so that we can love.

Misleading world, peace doesn´t mean love anymore.

Ah, Peace is the sadest thing and protect yourself from another love.

The time of love is time of pain, is time of peace. Doesn´t do or undo.

Ah, let it not be mine, the world where love is dead"

"Tempo de Amor", by "Vinicius de Moraes" ;)

  • Herbie nos teclados e Céu interpretando...perfeito

  • Adorei!

  • Overwhelmed by the smoothness of both Céu's voice and Hancock's commentary... Velvet sur velvet! To me the lyrics sing the awe of love's friction, not the romantic, courtly love. I tried a free translation, closer to the metric of the original so one could almost sing along:

  • Time to love (Veloso's Samba) by Vinicius de Moraes, transl. by Rafael Azize – PART I – O much nicer would be if one could live in peace, not having to ache, not having to cry, not having to long, not having to give oneself up. But one's got to ache, but one's got to cry, but one's got to long in order to love.

  • Time to love (Veloso's Samba) by Vinicius de Moraes, transl. by Rafael Azize – PART II – O most treacherous world! Peace means love no more as it once did. O there is no greater blue in the world than having peace, and then to regreat, and then to comply, and to shy away from loving anew. The time to love is time of pain. The time to keep peace does nothing at all. O let it not be my own the world where love is gone.

  • This is the most purrr-fect song to listen to before beginning one's day! Thank you for sharing this. What a perfect collection of passionate musicians.
