Another version of the song, a tri-lingual "scouty" one for that matter. It was composed and worked on by three scouts, and sang by some 30 Romanian and French scouts. I know it's a bit dark in the beginning, but as the fire grows, people's faces start lighting up. It was a tough job getting it on film, and since we were sitting in a circle around the campfire, we couldn't get even half the people to fit in the frame... The first rhymes are in the English language, then comes French and in the end it's Romanian. As the "Boom de ah dah" phenomenon grows, we're all glad to be a part of it!
Boom de ah dah
I love the forest
I love its streams and trees
I love the long hikes
All tired and stung by bees
I love the whole world
It's such a wondrous place
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah
I love the campfire
Hot tea and soup for all
I love to play games
Even if I'm hurt or fall
I love the whole world
With all its laughs and joy
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah
I love the night sky
I love the evening air
I love red dawn light
I love the Milky Way
I love the whole world
It's such a brilliant place
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah
J'adore l'herbe verte
J'adore garder le feu
J'adore les arbres
J'adore mon sac-a-dos
J'adore le monde entier
Et toutes ses simples choses
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah
[Translation:
I love the green grass
I love to keep the fire
I love the trees
I love my backpack
I love the whole world
And all its simple things
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah
Boom de ah dah, boom de ah dah]
Iubesc mancarea
Iubesc plimbarile
Iubesc natura
Imi iubesc ghetele
Iubesc lumea intreaga
E plina de culori
Boom dee ah dah, boom dee ah dah
Boom dee ah dah, boom dee ah dah
[Translation:
I love food
I love our walks
I love nature
I love my hiking boots
I love the whole world
It's full of colour
Boom dee ah dah, boom dee ah dah
Boom dee ah dah, boom dee ah dah]
[P.S. The translations sound a bit rubbish, I know, but they rhyme in the original languages, I assure you]
