The technical mistakes were in Irinia's performance, not Sarah's. She received high marks for jumps that weren't clean . Sarah deserved the win .

I know nothing about skating, but that was grace under pressure. To perform that well at 16! Unreal!

Sarah did have Rachmoninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 in Adagio all season at the end of her routine except this competition. They changed the last 90 seconds I believe for her Olympic routine with Ravel.

I love it when he says "the crowd is starting to come to its feet"--they KNEW they'd just seen the gold medalist! Incredible performance. Well-deserved gold. It kills me that Michelle didn't get her gold but I love it that someone can come from behind and take it--it's not a coronation, it's an athletic competition. And I love that 16 year old yelp of joy after she lands that jump! What a champion.
