(K004) My Pet Gerbils

My sister and I just got two gerbils 3 weeks ago and I finnaly gained there trust enough to film them. The lighter color one is chip and the black one is kira.

im getting one today!! I have one of those colorful cages with tubes in it. should I get the type of cage you have? and should I get 2 gerbils?

@jtbowman132 I'm not the best for gerbil advise but if you get two gerbils they can play together and I got both females. This type of cage can get the bedding kicked out of it but you can put a big plastic contaner from wallmart under it to fix that. Now I use a big aquarium for a cage. You can get a topper for them to make them bigger. I hope this helps and as I said before I'm not a gerbil expert so your best bet would be to google "gerbil care"

or something like that for the best advise.

thanks!! i had to end up getting one, because they only had one left. it's a black and white female. she is really shy, and doesn't like me that much. i will have to let her get use to the cage i guess. thanks again!

@jtbowman132 Yeah my gerbils where really shy at first. Just leave then alone for a few days then put your hand in and let them come to you. Once they get more comfortable with you you start holding them. Oh and feeding them treats by hand every once and a while at first helps. Just be carefull that they dont thing your is a giant treat!
