  • @zhivana Wow! Troll much? ;-) This big, healthy girl is wearing a handmade leather foal halter with an industry standard grab strap and that "patchy skin" is a much sought after marcel-wave coat pattern. I haven't updated this video in a awhile, but this little gal went on to win the breed association's In Hand (halter) National Championship in 2008!

look at my bag gelding its taken me 8 months to get him to where his it today do you know why?

because people like you fourse a young animal to do what you want, he was beaten up as a foal then locked in a shed as a 5 month old foal for 4 months, he is now 3 and only just getting over it i swear he has flash backs..

people like you shouldnt own animals

  • @zhivana The foal's a bashkir curly. Their coat NATURALLY looks like this, NATURALLY curled hence their breed's name. Do your research before posting crap.

  • @zhivana

bet you feel like a dumbass now huh, so many idiots on the internet.

  • is she stomping her foot on the ground because she was annoyed with the halter? is she just a little annoyed.. or very much? sorry i'm just guessing. i'm still learning about horses

  • @zhivana learn about horses..and learn how to work with foals!! Nevermind your to stupid

  • @zhivana wow, ok no, the foals coat is like that probably because he was either outside in the rain, or he is a baskir curly, also the "rope" is called a catch strap, it is meant to be there so you can catch the foal eaisily, it is a foal halter, also the person is there with the foal FILMING so if they were careless would they be watching the foal? i think not.

  • Wow shes so pretty!!!.

  • @CurlyLindsay The only horses I have ever seen with the marcel-wave coat is Bashkir Curlies (they are quite cute, I might add), is she a Curly? I know what in-hand showing is, I show my Standardbred gelding in-hand. IMHO I have seen lots of foals in different foal halters, and none of them have reacted like that.. they accept the halter much more and don't seem to be too fussed. Maybe because it comes so close to her mouth it irritates her?

  • The sad thing is horses are born to be free and they start being tamed at a very young age and discovere they are born into slavery. Those who think it's normal to enslave a horse are slaves themselves so they don't realize how wrong it is.

  • @zhivana If it wasn't a foal halter, it wouldn't fit her. And that's a catch rope, commonly used on foals that are still learning ground manners. And that's certainly not what rain rot looks like. Goodness at the harshness and ignorance.

  • Some of the comments on this video are ridiculous. There is nothing wrong with this at all. Its not going to suffocate or cut the horse, and from the looks of it, it seems like the area the foal is in is pretty safe, I doubt he/she is going to get tangled up on something. He/she does not have rain rot as one comment implied. It look perfectly healthy, and the short rope dangling isn't long enough for it to step on and trip over. This looks like a great start to me.
