Well - this is also good - but somehow - I liked the first one better - somehow - if you know the game, this quiet "nice-kind" style - especially because of the music - makes the first Trailer somehow - don´t know how to explain...

like "every thing´s fine at the moment - but I know what Horrors are coming!"

What movies and music were used in this? I recognized Star Trek, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, and all the Freespace cutscenes, But I would like to know what others there were. Also, specifically, what was the song that was being sung in the last few seconds of the trailer?

That is incredibly awesome. I liked how you added in Captain John Sheridan's "As of this moment, we are at war", and one of my favorite FS2 quotes "DIVE! DIVE! DIVE! HIT YOUR BURNERS PILOT!". You should make this movie. No, I'm serious.

Man, I really wish someone would make a movie like this. The closest they had was Wing Commander, and I really enjoyed that one. I guess the next closest thing would be BattleStar Galactica, but that topped being cool after half way into the show.
