Hi all,
here we see the grenadier guards band marching to buckhingham palace and back playing some lovely music. We also see the bands salute and the dismiss in the barracks! Enjoy

  • I enjoyed your video I was here in June and I did not get to get that close!!! Thank you for posting!!! I play clarinet and its cool to see how many clarinets they acutally have :)!!!

  • they have a band just to change guards?

  • Does anyone know the name of the march played around 4:00?

  • And the Drum Major on both days was from the Irish Guards,in the first clip one or two Irish Guards bands men/women to make the numbers up

  • I loved the metamorphosis at the dismissal. I've never seen that before.

And now that the leaves have turned and fallen here in NEW England, it is nice to see it begin in REAL England.

  • The title for this video seems to suggest some uncertainty about the actual date of the filming. Here's a clue: Notice there is a laurel wreath on the colour of the Coldstream Guards. Guards regiments mark the dates of significant battles (for which they've received honours) by decking the colour

with a wreath. The battles of Gheluvelt & Zonnebeke took place on October 29, 1914 during WW I. So the video date appears to be correct.

  • Out on location in the provinces then WS? Nice smile from the lady Guard Commander at the end, and a privileged shot from inside the Parade Ground it seems. All adds up to another great piece as T62 says. Thanks!
