Essa palestra originalmente intitulada "Ascensão da Informação; Declínio da Burocracia foi publicada na Internet no ano 2000. A Palestra foi dividida em duas partes: uma referente à Organização das empresas e outro ao uso da Tecnologia da Informação no Gerenciamento e Administração das Organizações . Since the beginning of human civilization there has been an incessant searching for meaning and values to justify the order of things around us. From ancient times till present days, objects, concepts and dogmas have been used as signals to represent order, power, values and knowledge in commercial and industrial transactions and social exchanges.
Following, the period of maritime's navigations 500 years ago and the sprouting of new markets and products in a never-before-seen scale of growth, we have as consequence moved from an age of countable patrimonial meaning, where values were created to just measure profits and losses, toward another age of functional and structural meanings created with specific objectives to represent and justify values and order around us. In this fashion, a new world has been created ruled by parsimonious' administration of systems of values and significance.
System, in this sense, started to be represented by a measure of order and managed by a strategic chain of actions that feed control mechanisms which started, then, to represent the role of severe watchmen with the major objective to exercise regulations and calibrations and to be the last instance responsible to manage the exchanges with the environment and to sustain the apparent system's stability.
