Great lookin grub, this is the same way the abbos cook fish out here in aussie. Oh; i really like your images you have of fish and nature; it demonstrates just how close you are to the mother herself.
Congratulations thats a beautiful area.

Oh boi, I miss the States so much! Really enjoyed your Video and the Monster can in the background. Awesome! :) Wish I could go fishing and hunting here in Germany, like in the States but to do this in Germany, you need so many licenses and permits. it kills the fun!
Keep going with the vids, they are good! :)

I enjoyed your "plain & simple" no-BS approach in this video very much. This looks like a great technique during a float/camp/fish adventure and I will try this early in the spring at a White River, Arkansas trip. Thanks for the information and best wishes!

Excellent video and I'm diggin your style MrJumBow. Would you ever try this method with an 8+ lb. steelhead or salmon with 3-5 inches of coals? THX

@casuallytactical Well to be honest, I never have cooked really "big" trout on a bed of coals. However, I see NO reason why this method would not work. Yes, about 5 to 6 inches of coals would be needed and, of course, your cook time will significantly increase. I would estimate that you would have to cook both sides of the fish for no less than 15 to 20 minutes. Good question and thanks for the review :)
