All Filipinos in the medical fields have MALASAKIT. Guess who has NO MALASAKIT? The corrupt leaders or the ones who follow these leaders? $2 billion dollars can buy and provide all Filipinos their own medical insurances and health providers!
If all would-be-patients are treated for free, do you think these hospitals would tribe to render their first-class services? Why don't you scrutinize this NY Times article about Philippine government - "Nearly $2 billion dollars, or roughly 13 percent of the Philippines' annual budget, is lost to corruption in the country each year, according to the United Nations Development Program".
Problem in the Philippines is MONEY... Before they treat you in the hospital they want you to put downpayment etc. This presentation is good only to those people with money. See the public hospital how they treat poor people.
Sad to say, even if we are advancing in the Healthcare treatment and all the healthcare professionals are clinically remarkable (the quality care given by our doctors, nurses etc are some things that I really admire and appreciate compare to care workers here in UK) still no one can obtain this healthcare service if you don’t have the money and power. If only we have a good healthcare system the same as here in UK. ;Q
Totally agree with this video. Had experienced with some medical practice in UK, the care given to patient is quite poor compared to the care treatment given by Filipino healthcare providers however; the care system in UK is really outstanding and systematic. All treatments except for dental procedures in UK are free, this includes the medication of the client. Unfortunately, in the Philippines you need to have financial capacity to purchase this kind of health care service.
It's quite sad that ordinary Filipinos cannot afford this Pinoy "Malasakit" ..... Try visiting any government hospital anywhere in the country and you will never see the Pinoy "malasakit" being advertised here ....
