A great comedy-farce from the playwright of HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES. Colin must be comforted in his grief over the death of his fiancée, so his friends, who never met the girl, arrange a party for him. They wonder what to say, but there is more to their unease. His friends are all troubled, kept together by a mixture of business and cross-marital emotional ties. By the time Colin arrives, their tension contrasts dramatically with his cheeriness. The results are hilarious. Lakewood Playhouse is a wonderfully intimate in-the-round theatre.

Marge and Colin are my personal favourites. We've been studying this in English, and after getting bored out of my skull with it, this is nice to see :) I think John looks like a geography teacher I know...

I think John is amazingly protrayed in this, just as I imagined he would.
Lovely to be seeing it performed in the round, just like it should be.
