You probably didn't notice, but you took damage at 1:38. You can avoid that "damage" by ducking until the ship starts scrolling back on-screen.

You think so one dimensional. A tip for this boss is that if you use more then your gun (IE throwing) you can take little to no damage.
Also the problem with most of the chaser weapons, especially the laser + chaser, is that it can get a little stuck on trying to kill something that cant be killed.
