Adirondack backcountry skiing: Avalanche Pass highlights

Avalanche Pass is one of the best ski tours in the Adirondacks. In this 8-minute video, Adirondack Explorer Editor Phil Brown shows us several of the highlights of the trip, such as Marcy Dam, the slide at the top of the pass, and of course the lake itself, a frozen sliver of white walled in by dramatic cliffs on Mount Colden and Avalanche Pass. The movie ends with Brown's half-mile descent on the return from the pass. Note: This is a longer version of the Avalanche Pass video posted earlier.
