Me doing a backflip on a jump at my house.

How to do a backflip on skis: Practice backflips on a trampoline until they feel like second nature. Do this hundreds of times. If you can, learn how to do a standing back flip on the ground. When you feel ready to try it on skis, find or build a steep jump that will give you a lot of pop. Make sure that there is lots of powder on the landing in case you under-rotate. Ski into the jump at least once to get a feel for it. Finally, ski confidently into the jump, and fully commit to the flip. As you ride the lip, throw the flip just like you would on the trampoline. Look up to spot your landing as soon as possible. Stomp the landing, and give yourself a pat on the back!
