Thanks for tuning into the Joe Till Guitars Channel.
What I hope to convey through these videos is a sense of how "playable" my handmade guitars are. And to give you an idea of their tonal range.
The graininess of the videos make it hard to see just how beautiful these guitars are. To get a clearer look, please visit www.TillGuitars.com.
We already know that the camera adds thirty pounds to your cheeks and belly, but I didn't know it added thirty years, too. Who is that old coot?
This video features my 110th guitar (I'm currently working on no.177) which sports an interesting mix of nicely figured Honduran Mahogany and Curly Maple. I discuss this guitar in better detail here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/69933716/till-guitars-no-110
My shop is about 40 miles up the coast from Los Angeles where I'm now in my fifteenth year of guitar building. I made furniture and cabinets for that many years before I started building instruments, too. So it was just a matter of time before my second and third biggest passions collided and grew into what is now the vast Till Guitars empire (800 rented square feet).
Please enjoy the music and keep me in mind when you're ready for a handmade American guitar. I'd like to build one for you.
I'm also available as a guitarist for hire - as long as you like this kind of music.
It's cool to see you play. Do you have a video showing the construction of your guitars? Little up close of any of them? Thanks.....Harmonica Dave
