CSX Q231 attacks the S curve grade at Abbott, CSX 7839 a Dash 40CW (Atlas Gold Series) is tailed by a hardworking, and looking tired Kato UP exSP AC4400CW 6213, and a Kato exBN FURX SD40-2. Listen as the AC4400CW is really working hard to move this manifest freight up and over the grade. All the locos were weathered and detailed by me and the first three cars. Sorry for the blurryness my camara is really sensitive to light!!

  • is it really a grade?

  • @BNSF9250 Yes it is 1.3 percent through here, then if run north on the layout it goes up the 2.2 percent grade of the helix. Depending on the tonnage and length of the train helpers are required.
