  • very good speech! thank you for uploading it!

  • she did very well

  • excellent !! well researched and valid.

  • Impressive, but she shows no emotion. >.>

    A little over rehearsed.

  • Even though it looks rehearsed, it is an excellent model for persuasive speeches. Thank you for uploading it!

  • impressive speaker!!!

  • I will use this sample persuasive speech in my classes as an excellent example of persuasive speaking. The speaker's use of source attribution was outstanding! Amply supported, clearly organized, (one could almost check off the major divisions), beautifully articulated (excellent rate of speech). The conclusion contained a clear and convincing appeal and unifier linking her personal investment in the subject matter through her nephew's tragic accident. Well done!

  • This speech is so clearly "staged". It's a learning video used for speech classes. Just wanted to clear that up for people thinking this was a real speech given in a classroom.

  • I like how she says at 1:02, "I have come to the same conclusion as the experts..." This lets the audience feel like their speaker is behind the expert consensus, and that she is just as smart as the expertst since she 'examined the same evidence and came to the same conclusions,' Ethos is a perfect device to build your credibility and to numb your audiences critical thinking skills at the same time.
