  • OMG My hair. LOL.

  • Hi Jacob, thank you so much for the good tips on bamboo growing, you are a huge help, however, can you please stop repeating the same information and same sentences over and over again it really sounds like we are not intelligent to understand it from the first time. ;))) I hope no harm done.Thank you.

  • @OmelaW These videos are from 2009. I have since gained more knowledge on how to properly explain something on camera.

  • hi! i just wanted to know when you put the unhealthy bamboo stalk in the water for a month...do you change the water? and if you do how often do you change it? thanks! =)

  • @claire30700 Yes change it once every two weeks.

  • dude you funny... bamboo can die for many reason.. but definitely not in water... you can say whatever you like.. but if it was true.. mine and all the other one that i know would die by now

  • @lee3246 Okay well it's your choice. I personally don't care, I just prefer to grow my plants properly.

  • I grow my lucky bamboo in water,I used tap water,I have no problems Its been growing in water over 4yrs now,it looks better in clear glass with water than in a dirt pot.

  • I would like to get a response from you and if you want once again, I will send the photos of my plants. I live in Queens border line with Long Island in NY. I trust your videos. Thank you.

  • I would like to get details, short, simple, clear details. I do like your videos. However, please don't get me wrong, I am trying to make a constructive criticism, that your video segment on what to do to when the lucky bamboo gets sick does not say much. There is a 99 cent store and I buy my bamboos from there. They have some healthy ones and sick ones. If I know what to do I would buy the sick one home just to heal it and keep it alive! I hope you and I are on the same humanitarian ground.

  • But I want you to tell me immediately -if you don't mind- what to do. I grow them all in water. I haven't used soil yet. If I have to I will. For that tiny little bamboo, i went to the flowershops around and asked them what to do about them. The first flowershop said 'don't waste your time'. The other flowershop was nicer; printed an online FAQ about how to treat sick lucky bamboos. THE PROBLEM is that answers are NOT SATISFACTORY...

  • I have five stems or stocks as you call them. Each of them are in seperate cups placed on top of a night stand located right next a night light I got from a dollar store. 3 of them are very sick. They are getting yellow from the top. Even the green leaves are now turning yellow. I would take their pictures and email them to you in an attachment. I really worry for them. I want them alive. The other two were getting yellow from the bottom bec their water was dirty. They are doing just ok for now

  • But it kept getting yellow and i kept cutting until I couldn't anymore. There was only one block left; which was the bottom block that has the roots. i kept it in the water but it began to smell worse and worse. I ended up throwing it. Nowm here are few things. I live in a basement. My plants dont get direct sunlight. I do use tap water, howeverm i check their water frequently. I check the bottom of my vazes to make sure the water is clean. I seperated the sick ones from the healthy ones....

  • HEY JABOB! MY BAMBOOS ARE GETTING SICK AND I AM INTO THEM AS MUCH AS YOU ARE. I LIKE SEEING HUMANITARIAN PEOPLE LIKE YOU ON THE NET BECAUSE I AM PRO-LIFE FOR PLANTS AND ANIMALS... NOW I AM SERIOUS ABOUT THIS. I DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME FOR MY PLANTS. I WORK AND GO TO SCHOOL FOR MY MASTERS. HOWEVER, I DON'T MIND GOING OUT OF MY WAY FOR A SMALL SICK BAMBOO WHICH TURNED ABSOLUTELY YELLOW. HOW? IT WAS GETTING YELLOW FROM THE TOP. I CUT THE UNHEALTHY YELLOW PART TO KEEP THE HEALTHY GREEN PART.
