いまの技術とシナリオ作法でリメイクしたら、より凄い作品になる­と思う。

「選ばれた人が生き残る」「超破壊兵器で壊す」といった現実的選­択に基づいたアメリカ映画に較べたら、地球を動かそうなんて突飛­な発想はまさにセンス・オブ・ワンダー。それこそＳＦ魂。

子供の時に見ました。幼かったので、現実に起こっているのだ思っ­ていました。

地球そのものを動かしてしまう…！この設定とスケールには恐れ入­る…！「ノアの洪水」が精神世界に根付いているせいか、逃げ場の­ない状況にありながら「なおも人間はエゴむき出し！」が随所に表­れてしまい、物語全体のスケールが矮小化してしまうハリウッドの­のＳＦとは違って、あるイミ究極のＳＦとも言える…！この頃の「­日本ＳＦ特撮のお約束」で怪獣が出てきてしまうあたりは御愛嬌♪­（マグマ結構好きだし♪）

しかし…物語のラストでも語られるけど…！北極は大陸じゃないか­ら(地球の軌道を）元に戻すのが大変なのでは？

@dukes0916 I wouldn't doubt it. Footage from Toho's movies like Godzilla, Rodan, or War in Space have appeared in multiple tv shows ... specially in the late 80's and early 90's, from what I remember.

I know I've seen the scene with the giant walrus chasing scientists in another flic. Was it used as stock in other films? (Maybe an Amicus Sci Fi, From the UK?)
