This is a Yamaha EZ AG Midi guitar connected to my PC. Installed is Pure Data with my
Pure Data patch (program) that automatically changes chords when I press one button.
The chords are for the song " House of the rising sun" by The Animals. If any one wants to try
it, I posted the abstraction on the Pure Data forum, here's the address;

  • Thanks for sharing the video - Looks quite familiar as I also developed some software for 1 button chord changing midi guitar for iphones using puredata and more recently a RealStudio application that provides Ztar like functionality (including 1 button chords) for the Rockband 3 Pro guitars. Feel free to check it out on youtube under name wirelessmidiguitar

    Nice work. I have a Yamaha EZ-AG midi guitar and a Mac. Can your software work with my setup? Could I send midi messages form my guitar to the software and it sends back rearranged midi messages?

Saludos.

  • nice, how did you capture the midi signals in PD?

  • @MerlineTHP

    In this case the sound that you hear comes from the midi guitar. I send midi data to the computer running Pure Data program which sends back the midi data with the modifications to the midi guitar. No need for software synth if you have a Yamaha EZAG.

  • @IAMBOG You need a software synth to actually make the sound. MIDI is only the information on how to play the music, not the music itself.
