@tomibewi Its because there ears are more sensitive to pressure changes. And it actually physically hurts them when the plane descends. I don't blame them for crying...

Very awesome, Jon! I'm sooo jealous! Someday I hope to be able to go there myself. What would you say is the best time of day to watch the planes come in? Do they come in sporadically throughout the day or are there certain blocks where you have lots of opportunity to watch the planes come in on approach? Thanks for posting! :)

I would say something comes in every 15-20 minutes. But the heavies come in later throughout the day!
