Nice match but they had a better match on SNME. I agree it would have been a better twist having Tito win it. It was so predictable Perfect won. He definitely deserved a run but it would have been cool to have Santana take it and then lose it on SNME. In his run Santana held the title a combined 14 mos....and faced a LOT of talent Orton, Orndoff, Piper, Studd, Ventura, Savage etc. He beat all these guys at some point. He is the greatest IC champ but Savage and Perfect were great too.

@jamcano @jamcano Both guys competed for the WWF title during their time with the company. Before Hogan took the belt off the Iron Sheik, Tito had several shots at the belt early that January (84') and Perfect, of course, ran an entire high-profile program with Hogan, with Vince even having Hennig film several vignettes with the Genius targeted specifically at the Hulkster. Both guys are WWF Hall of Famers and I would be willing to bet were very satisfied with their accomplishments with WWF.
