Reva health, whatclinic.com, and other medical travel, medical vacations and medical tourism companies are protecting their dentists and not the public. This is a powerful true story of an American womans nightmare in San Jose Costa Rica at High Tech Dental Clinic with Doctor Alberto Coto Calvo. The dentist ( Doctor Alberto Coto ) has since conveniently changed the name of his company to "Implant and Cosmetics Solutions" and moved his practice to "Rohrmoser San Jose Costa Rica" This dentist broke Kimberly's tooth causing 3 root canals to be preformed while in his care. He left her with 10 crowns popped off her teeth and screwed up her bite so badly that she now suffers from severe TM, constant pain on a daily basis, can't eat or speak properly etc... Kimberly forgot that the constitution didn't travel with her and was almost charged with a felony and locked up in a Costa Rican prison for complaining publicly about being butchered in a foreign country. After Kimberly fled back to the United states, not one of the medical tourism travel companies that promote this dentist would post her review or warn the innocent public. Even with medical evidence of before and after x-ray's and medical reports from American specialists confirming severe criminal negligence, not one of the medical tourism companies cared nor would they stop using Doctor Coto for future patients. I don't know them. If they're not in your own country then there is no real way to completely check them out. If that's the case and you can't afford dentistry locally then I would recommend going to your local dental school for dentistry up to a %60 discount. The teachers are right there to watch over them. I had a few root canals done at my local dental school for a little over $300 insteal of $1,100. You might be on a waiting list if it's not an emergency but, it's worth it.

I don't get it...if these people have money to travel abroad searching for "affordable" doctors, it seems as if they would have money to pay for proper medical attention in the U.S. Shrugs!

when you need thousands of dollars of dental work or 10's of thousands of dollars of work done and round trip airfare to Costa Rica is $300 and the bed and breakfast is $25 dollars a day then it is much cheaper than getting work done in the U.S. It's people who are uninsured, don't have much money and are in a lot of pain who are desprite enough to listen to the media who is promoting medical tourism for a fraction of the cost. Unfortunately, Americans are getting butchered abroad.

Dr Alberto Coto Calvo took thousand of dollars in cash for a mouth of improperly fitted crowns/porc veeners. I returned last month. He did NOT pay expenses like he promises. His work is not warranted as he claims. I have Us dentist records and x rays. He tried to intimidate me when he and his 3 colleagues circled my chair. He said they all agreed with him but did relent and replace Three. Many more not right. Itsobvious in the x rays. He wi not return my rays, another broken promise

Doctor Coto has changed the name of his company and also changed his location. The new business name is "Implant and Cosmetics Solutions" and the new location is in Rohrmoser San Jose Costa Rica. Scam Artists tend to change company name and move around a bit don't they !!!

When I first went in 2010 Dr Coto was listed as Hi Tech Dental now he is Implant and Cosmetic solutions. I had 16 crowns/veneers. Most not fitted right. When i returned to him in 2012 he did not pay expenses as his ad claims. Also he has ignored requests to supply me with any of my patient info or record of work done or my x rays. Plus he rushed was in a big hurry and my teeth still are not fixed. My time, my money, my pain and inconvenience
