I this review is like the other gearwire video reviews I encountered last year. They dont really test drive it, and just ramble about some thing, their mistake amongst others. I want to HEAR the difference, and know know what options exist and get some samples. This review didn't give much.

Check out the ultra-effective WindJacket for hand-held recorders like the Zoom H2 and others. Available from TheWindCutter website.

the hole recording is overload....

Yay, you're a pessimist... I'm lovin' it.

Gearwire have a habit of hiring the stupidest individuals in the known universe to destroy any desire for any product they get their ignorant hands on.
Horrible waste of time.

hey could you do a longer test session where you compare the different settings [like AGC etc] and with the wind covers on / off? that would be extra cool..
thanks for the video!
What are you using to record the video ?

a sony shotgun mic, but when he switches over, he's being recorded with the field recorder.

Boy that shootout was pretty much worthless. You need to turn them all on and record the same thing at the same time, with the recorders in as close to the same place as possible. Then compare the recordings. Recording wind does nothing to test a device. You maybe could have used the wind muff on the D50. People are looking for record quality. Put them in a studio with a cymbal, guitar, piano, band -then A-B-C the recordings. The wind and noise variables only defeat the test.
Let me do it!!!!!

It's a "field" recorder, so we went outside.
