  • @sftbofficial Owned by sonorpaiste702, who has actual knowledge of the genre.

  • @sftbofficial Yes it is, it's home to a shit ton of bands ranging from Funeral Diner, Orchid, Majority Rule to Envy, Suffocate for Fuck's Sake, and pg.99.

  • This is what happens when you give hipsters instruments.

  • @sonorpaiste702 Screamo isn't a genre fuckface.

  • @MrMatt767 Screamo is early 90s, Post-Hardcore is mid-late 80s, and Emo is mid-late 80s. Emo originally had more in common with Hardcore Punk and was a sound and movement that was entirely separate from Post-Hardcore. Emo definitely had a shitload of Hardcore Punk elements before the Midwestern sound came about (American Football, SDRE). Screamo was definitely born out of Post-Hardcore, it just took the dissonance and chaos to a whole new level and made it incredibly noisy and fast-paced.

  • @sonorpaiste702 Wouldnt you say that post-hardcore is and extension of screamo considering that screamo came years before post-harcore. Plus emo and screamo are not an extension of anything really? They were both around at approximately the same time, yes?

  • He says, “I let life get twisted.

Get worn out, torn up, and late with the rent. And

Now nothing makes sense except the bench and that piano,

A feeling nearing order when I’m pressing down the chords.”

    And he plays...

  • As Third Eye Blind said "Were just pretty little songs, with dirty little meanings" La Dispute and Thursday forever!

  • i don't care about the genre...THIS IS AWESOME.

  • @rokknroll4 It was relatively popular, it was just doomed as most bands never lasted for more than 2 releases.
