Do they always equate poor with lazy? What about me? Im not poor but not even quite middle class. I am a teacher. People put the children's minds and bodies in my care. I put in many many hours in teaching, preparing, correcting, and doing extracurricular activities like sports,drama club, etc. I work very hard for my students, my family, and my community. And I still don't work as hard as a single mother with 2 part time jobs and no benefits. Let the rich pay more, they will still stay rich

We dont have as many lazy or poor here so its not really a problem. But in the end Its in my own self interest to support the welfare system, and its why Norway is the best country in the world to live without exception. If I have to pay high taxes to enjoy that, so be it :)

Well, "liberal regulation" sounds a lot like "less government" which you conservatives tout all the time... Don't you see where that got us? Are you blind?
So in your mind more regulation causes people to live beyond their means? Can I have some of what you're smoking? If there were proper controls in place these greedy f**ks wouldn't have been able to grant so many stupid loans in the first place.
