You are absolutely WRONG. Wilson's first and secondThai opponents, Jaidee Pisnurachank and Pongdienoi Prasobchai, both fomer stadium champs from Thailand, and Wilson soundly decisioned Jaidee twice and TKOed Pongdienoi. Then he got lured to fight in Bangkok, where he was forced to drop 8 pounds hours before the fight and lost the decision. Fanta Attapong was the last Thai he fought. On the other hand, Urquidez never fought in Thailand, and never acknowledges his loss to his Thai opponent.

I loved the fighting and although I have retired three times already, I would "go to the mountain" one more time if the money was right....I fought under any set of rules offered and many times in my opponents backyard. The sport of kickboxing improved my martial arts abilities and that was my original purpose for participating. Have fun guys and don't stress out, it is only a sport afterall...your friend, Don

gotta give it up to the guy. I never really cared much about him, but he's pretty great and he's humble. Thats always a great quality to have especially for a fighter as it makes you more formless.
Hi guys, thanks for just taking the time to even care if I was any good or not as a kickboxer. I fought from 1974 to 2002 and my final record was 72 wins 2 draws and 5 losses. I won 48 by KO. However, I am not a "kickboxer". That is just a sport that I enjoyed and helped hone my martial arts skills. thanks for your support, your friend, Don "the Dragon"

As a matter of fact, Don Wilson was the first American full-contact karate fighter to defeat a muay thai fighter from Thailand. In the early 80s, in Hong Kong, he defeated Jaidee Pisnurachank(Panya Sornnoi) twice, and KOed Pongdienoi Prasobchai. Then the Thai officials invited him to fight in Bangkok with a large sum of money. He was forced to drop weight hours before the fight and lost the decision.
