  • To clarify: the first tune is the one I'm talking about.

  • The tune is "Ways of the World" from the playing of Bill Stepp.

  • Anyone know the name of the tune at the very beginning? It sounds so familiar.

  • @DrLavenderful Or just buy the album? It's amazing.

  • I think I have a recording of my great-grandfather singing this. (His uncle was Edden Hammons.)

  • This is one of the best videos i've seen in a long time- a bit like watching Charlie Poole incarnate playing fiddle like Eddon Hammons; it rendered me speechless when I first saw it, and has had a similar effect on (many) subsequent viewings. If anyone's interested, the first tune is called 'ways of the world'.

  • It does the soul good to know that this music is still appreciated enough to be filmed

  • Ten Brooks and Mollie is a song about a horse race.

Anyway I can get this exact recording on my mp3 player?

I bought his album and this was not on it.

  • @youllregretit Post a video on the part you learned so far.

  • is the first part a completely different fiddle song? i learned it completely, but i guess ill learn the song part now...tenbrooks...i can't find the lyrics though...
