this is a slide show made for what i think the most famous star cars ever ecto 1 and ecto 1a yes it was 2 diffrent cars for each of the ghostbusters movies i also found some pics on here both of them being restored as some of you may have seen ecto 1 restored allready so enjoy

Code 3 XL 48" 55" lightbars Whelen 9000 first gen Ecto 1 Ecto 1A are the same car same year 55 cadillac's forgot the model sorry.

Was there two diffrent ECTO cars? One used for ECTO-1 and one used for ECTO-1A? Can anyone anwser this for me please...

Some of those pics reminded me how top-heave the Ecto 1-A can be and it could tip over if it took a turn too quickly.

I'm SO glad they finally restored ECTO 1, now hope they do 1a sometime
it's a shame that movie studios put these pieces of film history outside for 25+ years and let them sit and rot

one of the BEST videos ive seen on here, fucking awesome. ecto 1 is the balls, it would be soo sweet to have a police escort, one cruiser in front one in back with their flashers on, while ecto 1 is in betwen them with full lights and sirens driving through the streets of Salem Massachusetts (the witch city) on Halloween. I bet everyone would stop to watch that!!
