cops are no different in colorado springs than the gestapo was in germany.. their main goal is to make money off of people in the area to generate as much traffic revenue as they can possibly produce.. people in colorado springs do not trust their cops due to how the cops torment people for any little thing to make revenue for the mayor and city council. they are not cops anymore at all. they are an embarassment to the community.

They're out doing crap like this but when I call 911 cause my ex was literally on his way to my house, and were informed he's got a loooong criminal history of violence it took them 30 minuted to send ! yes ONE officer!!! If it weren't for my neighbors I would be dead, then he got bailed out a couple of days later. It's been 6 months, STILL going through the 'court proocess' and he's now got 9 charges of D.V. and he's still out......

What do you think the DUI check points are for. To Stop the dumb dumb idiots. You got pulled over for no tail lights. If you treat the officer with respect you should get it back in return, as you found out. I have lived in C.S. most of my life and have traveled around the country. I have not found any police state in colorado or any other state for that fact. Think about what the big picture is not just how you think it might impact you personaly.
