is this video supposed to be sarcastic? Fuckin' duh.
Actually, globalization is FAR WORSE than portrayed here, as the "1st Worlder" is out of work, because his and her jobs have been imported and exported to"3rd Worlders". Thus, we now have 2 in 5 (or more, in the U.S.) that are unemployed/underemployed. America is turning into a 3rd World Country, and Americans have been so dumbed down that they think their politicians actually give a flying fuck what happens to Americans.

@fatuglypug The marriage of corporations and bureaucracy, which is corporatism, or mercantilism rehashed thanks to Keynes. I'm not going to get into morality why taxation is wrong, but it is just the broken window fallacy all over again. The bureaucrats think that they can spend the citizen's money better than the citizen could. So you see the factories built and what not, but you'll never see the jobs that could have been created or services had those citizens kept their money.

@fatuglypug So you've got the so called elite of society deciding what's best for everybody else, wrapping it up in a bundle of red tape. It's gainst free market capitalism, there's no need for elite the market knows best unless monopolies exist and red tape is a hinderance to trade. I dunno my view on Globalism is that suddenly everywhere starts looking the same, the owners of these businesses make bigger profits. The real role of Government should be to control the size of these corporations

@fatuglypug I'm saying that globalization doesn't have to include more bureaucracy, because that (bureaucracy) is after all what ironically halts it and keeps people from reaping the highest benefits within free trade. Sure, you have a market economy to an extent or only a degree within globalization, but it is being hindered by politicians and bankers who still subscribe to the mercantilist ideology. The quicker we can do away with this thought, the better off we will be.
It's funny how those who masturbate to globalization ignore how the policies of the IMF and other organizations actually create poverty by sending poorer nations into a race to the bottom as far as labor rights, wages, and public services to pay debt.

@mana2432 In Europe for instance, the new East European member states receive big handouts, so they can issue grants for building new factories. New factories encourage companies to relocate because of cheaper labour. Where from? Germany, UK, the countries where the grants actually came from? Is that fair? Not really seeing as Government money does not exist, it is simply money taken from the citizens through taxation, who then lose their jobs. So why does it happen? Increased profit margins.
