@alwaysopen this is the second guitar hero. You shouldn't expect it to be like playing an actual guitar. Rockband has where you plug in your guitar and play.

@RedBullBrothers it's really different from teh KISS genre of music, but good .. i dunno my personal opinion is that they have much more songs that i like better that i was made for loving you .. like Detroit Rock City, God of Thunder (Paul Stanley version), Parasite nad best of all LOVEEE GUUNN!!

Do the people that play these dumb assed games think they are approximating what a real guitarist is doing?

I have played guitar for 35 years in clubs/studios and can tell you there is no connection - I tried to play this shit with my nephew who has quit the games because he likes a real guitar instead.

This is like fantasy football or paintball games. Put on some real pads and hit someone or join the army and shoot some Arabs.

These games = FAIL big time.

@EddyBlohm I agree a bit with you.

First of all, Guitar Hero is WAY easier to gain "skills" in, since its WAY more basic then a real guitar.

I can play pretty much every song in GH (also TFAF on 3*) expert, but If I pick up a guitar and try to play its much harder, since a REAL guitar has way more options then 5 colored frets.

Even though GH is alot of fun to play with friends :)
