Hi. I'm interested in making my own homemade margarita for the first time but I'm a bit unsure of what to buy. Besides the tequila, I know this drink needs a sweet and sour mix, triple sec and lime juice. Can you give me some personal advice or tips on the triple sec and sweet and sour? I know the higher the quality the better the taste but me being a first timer I'd like something that tastes good and is easy on the buck. Thanks a lot.

@fifarock1 any brand of triple sec will do u should be able to get a bottle for about $6 and any supermarket brand of sour mix will do. The lime juice is Roses Lime juice. Good luck=)

@gudrunhaf Sour Mix is a sugar water based mix that taste like lemon used to give some sweet flavor to a drink =)

Margarita does no need no sour mix just fres lime juice not that bottled shit

Try fresh squeezed lime juice, and agave nectar instead of sweet and sour mix. For me I like 2 part lime juice to 1 part agave nectar (or depending how sweet or sour you want it to be).
