In Lak'ech (een-lakech) is a Mayan greeting similar to Namaste translating into "You are my other self. I am you. You are me."

Normally, when we speak of putting on a mask, we are referring to an externalized "self" and yet 90% of what we are actually projecting (and what is being witnessed) is subconscious. Using larval masks to represent the internal (subconscious) as the the 'facade', this short film conveys an exploration of this seeming paradox.

As seen through the eyes of the female protagonist, "Inner Mask" is an exploration of what "self" means in a world often devoted to the manufacture and maintenance of facades. It is an analysis of the experience of the human condition inviting you to reveal the mask within.
