if God is perfect, why can't the holy books be applicable to any time period? I would think, in God's perfection, he could make a book that is timeless. yet, i always hear "at the time of the prophet..." blah blah blah. a verse in Quran that bothers me very much is about permitting a man to have sex with a wife or with his slave women. i hate that idea very much, it's disrespectful and completely backward.

IN ARABIC TODAY.. COMMON WORD FOR "Black" is "Abd" meaning slave.
