This video illustrates how to overcome the minor obstacles when shooting modern film in a vintage/antique camera. the sx-70 can use 600 film, but requires a few modifications/techniques in order to do so.

  • Why have some of the messages been marked as spam? They have simply asked for the emailed template which you stated you would be happy to email to people? Slightly unclear to how that is spam.....?

  • @tomsmith100 youtube automatically marks a comment as spam if a person inserts a web/email address. i had nothing to do with it. So, all people who left me their email address through the comment feature were blocked. i am happy to send a template to anyone who asks, but you have to personal message me.

  • do you think you could email me the template? i would like to perform this mod and the template would help a great deal. Also when doing this mod, do i have to adjust my exposure compensation dial in any way? or do i just keep it in the middle? thanks for the help. my email is below.

  • @lilbob sure. sorry i didn't see this sooner. no compensation is needed for normal photos. however, it depends on the level of filter you are using. an ND2 (neutral density 2) filter is what you want.

  • Where can I buy that black strip at?

  • @shadowblack1987 LOL!!! I wish!!! oh man...i would retire today if i could afford those prices!

I've been shooting polaroid (and nothing else) for about 5 years now. I started back when you could get 10 packs for $45-$50. at $4.50 a pack, it's easy to run through it especially over a 5 year period shooting as much as i do. It was'nt until the demise of polaroid that i got into medium format film.

i've only purchased 5 packs in the last 6 months due to the price increases. Its ridiculous!

  • @artbybradley Must have a nice job, because at $30 a pack... lmao.

  • @sweetimmortality yes. it works. i've shots over 100 packs of film.

  • Is that really work? The only thing that is needed is the filter? Has anybody tried and worked?

    Thanks.
