At the 5th Anniversary Diggnation party in San Francisco, David Spark talks with Mashable's co-editor, Ben Parr about how to leverage social media to get jobs in tech. Parr says when you've got a presence, and people are paying attention to what you're creating and writing about, you can beat out your competition. Even though you may not want to have a "social media" job, you have to do work on the branding side because that's how the world works these days.
"But if you just write about what you love," says Parr, "You won't see it as work, you'll see it as fun."
